Geoff Sensei                        - a short biography….
[ Sorry about the photograph! But the passport people thought It was O.K. !! ]

I am not sure that your readers are so interested in me, or there is anything they do not already know, however I thank you for allowing me this indulgence !

My martial arts experience began in the 1950`s when an uncle of mine, God Bless him, introduced me to Judo/Ju jitsu. Since then I have studied the following arts with various associations, Aikido, Karate, Kung Fu, Budo, Iaido, Naginata, Daito Ryu Aiki Jujitsu, and Kyudo. However since my introduction to the Martial Arts of the Far East, Aikido has been the art that has made the most profound and lasting influence upon me.

I have held various high pos I have held various high positions of authority as an administrator for Martial Arts Associations. I have been accepted as Chief Instructor for three different associations. I received a Coaching Award from the MAC, the former association representing Aikido before the newly named BAB to Sport England. I have certificates from the National Coaching Foundation. I have studied under some of the great Aikido Sensei, and with regret and happiness, I have to admit that some have passed on to an even greater development in life after death.

I have the enviable position and privilege of having taught many people from this Country and those from around the World the subject of Aikido. Hopefully they will recount their time well spent in their pursuit, as I do, having spent time with them in Aikido.  I have combined my practice of Aikido with my conviction and office of a Christian Chaplain, since the eighties. I find both practices compatible and I have no difficulty in the relationship. In fact both are advantageous and support each other.

Should you wish to know more, come and spend time in our company, and ask of me what you will. The only way to honesty is through openness, and transparency.  The efforts we make in Aikido to develop harmony, are simply the payments we make as Aikidoka.
Sometimes they are costly, but always worth the effort.
Thank you…
